Note: Compounded GLP-1 therapies are prepared only when a licensed prescriber determines a clinically significant difference for an identified patient. These medications are not reviewed or approved by the FDA for safety, efficacy, or quality. Manufacturer savings do not apply to compounded medications. Eden coordinates care; licensed providers evaluate and prescribe; partner pharmacies dispense and label.
Prescription costs for weight management and type 2 diabetes medications can feel overwhelming. The good news: the manufacturers of Mounjaro® and Zepbound® (both tirzepatide medications) offer copay/savings programs that may lower out-of-pocket costs for eligible, commercially insured patients.
These FAQs explain who qualifies, how the cards work, where to find the latest terms, and how savings may work with Eden’s services, depending on eligibility.
You can use a manufacturer savings card with Eden only when your Eden-affiliated clinician prescribes an FDA-approved brand (like Mounjaro® or Zepbound®), and you meet the program’s eligibility. Savings do not apply to compounded medications.

Can I use a Zepbound® or Mounjaro® coupon with Eden?
Yes, if you’re prescribed for an FDA-approved medication and you meet each program’s commercial insurance and other criteria. Manufacturer cards cannot be used on compounded medications.
Who is generally eligible for these savings cards?
Programs typically require: 1. Commercial drug insurance, 2. A prescription for an FDA-approved use per label, 3. U.S./PR residency, and 4. Age ≥ 18. Government program beneficiaries (e.g., Medicare/Medicaid/TRICARE) are not eligible. Exact eligibility is defined by the manufacturer’s current terms.
How much could I save and for how long?
Savings, monthly and annual maximums, and fill limits are detailed in each program’s current terms and conditions (e.g., Zepbound® lists monthly and annual caps and up to 13 fills/year; some tiers are different when a plan doesn’t cover the drug). Always check the latest terms before filling.
My commercial plan doesn’t cover Zepbound®. Is there still any help available?
Manufacturers may offer self-pay/direct programs with published prices and refill rules (separate from coupons). These prices and rules can change and usually cannot be combined with insurance reimbursement. Always confirm the current details on the official site.
Do these programs cover all strengths and pen/vial formats?
Coverage and eligibility apply to FDA-approved uses. The manufacturer sites detail which presentations are included and any program-specific notes (e.g., vial vs. pen, refill windows, etc.).
How do I start? What should I do first?
Are there limits on how many times I can use the card?
Yes. Manufacturer programs set fill limits and annual caps (e.g., Zepbound cites up to 13 fills/year under certain tiers in 2025). Verify the latest numbers on the official terms page.
Can I stack a savings card with other discounts?
Generally no, program terms usually prohibit combining with other manufacturer offers/discounts and require that card benefits aren’t submitted for third-party reimbursement. See the terms for details.
Do coupons apply to compounded GLP-1s?
No. Manufacturer savings only apply to FDA-approved products; compounded medications are not FDA-approved and are not eligible for these savings. There are no FDA-approved generic or biosimilar versions of tirzepatide.
Any safety notes I should keep in mind?
Always review the Important Safety Information and Indications on the brand sites and discuss your history (e.g., thyroid cancer/MEN2) with your clinician before starting therapy.

Manufacturer savings programs can meaningfully reduce out-of-pocket costs for eligible patients using Mounjaro® or Zepbound®, but they come with specific eligibility rules, caps, and fill limits that may change over time. If you’re working with Eden, your clinician can help determine whether a brand prescription is appropriate and how a savings card may be processed at the pharmacy. If compounded options are discussed, remember they’re not FDA-approved and do not qualify for manufacturer savings.
