NovoCare Pharmacy and Wegovy®: How It Works

Accessing Wegovy® through NovoCare is fairly straightforward. Because prescriptions are processed outside of insurance, prior authorization requirements that may apply through insurance typically don’t apply when paying out of pocket.

If you already have a Wegovy® prescription, your healthcare provider can send it electronically to NovoCare directly from their system. If you don’t have one yet, NovoCare may direct you to independent telehealth services, such as Eden, to determine whether Wegovy® is appropriate for you.

Government beneficiaries aren’t eligible for NovoCare Pharmacy, even if they choose to pay out of pocket. This includes anyone enrolled in Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, Veterans Affairs healthcare, or any similar federal or state program. If you fall into one of these categories, it may be worthwhile to speak with your healthcare provider about alternative savings options.

NovoCare Wegovy® Savings Card and Pricing

For cash-paying patients, NovoCare offers all Wegovy® pen dose strengths at a flat rate of about $349 per month through the NovoCare program, though retail pricing and pharmacy pricing may vary. Free home delivery is also included at no extra cost.

For patients with commercial insurance who qualify for the Wegovy® Savings Offer, copays may be as low as $25 per month. This savings card is a separate program from NovoCare Pharmacy but is available to eligible commercially insured patients.
