How MIC + B12 Supports Your Wellness Goals
- Methionine
Methionine is an essential amino acid that plays a role in the body’s natural processes, including fat metabolism and detoxification. By supporting liver function, Methionine can contribute to your overall wellness routine. [1] - Inositol
Inositol is a naturally occurring compound found in many foods and is involved in cellular signaling. Inositol may play a role in metabolic processes, which can enhance energy utilization and metabolic efficiency. Inositol is also known to promote brain health by supporting neurotransmitter function, which may improve mood and cognitive performance. [2] - Choline
Choline is a vital nutrient that helps with metabolism and liver health. It’s involved in moving fats through your body, which prevents fat buildup in the liver, and also supports energy levels. Additionally, Choline plays a crucial role in brain function, which may help to improve mood and cognitive health. [3] - Methylcobalamin (Vitamin B12)
Methylcobalamin is a form of Vitamin B12 that is essential for energy production, nerve health, and red blood cell formation. It can support the nervous system and helps maintain metabolism. [4]

Self-Administration: A Simplified Process
Don’t worry—it’s easier than you might think! Here’s a quick guide:
- Wash Your Hands: Clean your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds.
- Get Your Injection Supplies Ready:
- Needle and syringe with medication, or an auto-injector pen.
- Alcohol pads.
- Gauze.
- A sharps container for needle disposal.
- Bandages (if needed)
- Prepare the Injection Site: Check the area of skin where you'll inject for any issues. Choose a different site each time to prevent skin problems. Clean the area with an alcohol pad and let it dry.
The most common injection sites are:- Abdomen: at or below belly button level, about two inches away from the navel.
- Arm: back or side of the upper arm
- Thigh: front of the thigh
- Prepare the Medication Syringe:
- Wipe the top of the medication vial with an alcohol pad.
- Draw air into the syringe equal to your medication dose.
- Push the needle through the vial's rubber stopper, inject the air, and turn the vial upside down.
- Draw your medication dose into the syringe.
- Tap any air bubbles and push them out of the syringe.
- Giving the Injection:
- Pinch an inch of skin between your thumb and forefinger.
- Quickly insert the needle all the way into the pinched skin at a 90-degree angle (or 45 degrees if you have less body fat).
- Push the plunger slowly until you've injected all the medication.
- Release the pinch and carefully pull out the needle.
- Dispose needle and syringe into sharps container.
- After the Injection:
- If there's a bit of bleeding, press lightly with gauze.
- Cover with a bandage if needed.
- Important Tips:
- Rotate your injection sites to avoid discomfort and skin issues.
- If you notice severe pain, redness, swelling, warmth, or drainage at the injection site, contact your doctor immediately as these could be signs of an infection.

Keep your injections at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Ensure they’re stored safely out of reach of children.
If you forget to take a dose, administer it as soon as you remember, unless it’s almost time for your next scheduled dose. In that case, skip the missed dose—never double up. If you’re unsure, reach out to your healthcare provider.
Certain medications can interact with MIC + B12. Those include anticholingeric medications (Amitriptyline (Elavil), Nortriptyline (Pamelor), Imipramine (Tofranil), Doxepin (Sinequan), Clomipramine (Anafranil), mood stabilizers such as lithium and/or valproic acid, and chemotherapy and radiation. Ensure your healthcare provider is aware of all medications and supplements you’re taking to avoid any potential interactions.
If you’re pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, consult your healthcare provider before continuing with MIC + B12.
Methylcobalamin is the active form of B12. When you ingest the inactive form of B12 (cyanocobalamin), your body converts it to the active form. By administering the active form of B12 you are providing your body with the most natural and effective form. Many people are unable to metabolize B12 into its active form, which is why it's so important to your health to take quality medication.[6]
Important Information
- Who Shouldn’t Use MIC + B12: If you’re allergic to any of the ingredients, are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have severe liver or kidney issues, MIC + B12 might not be the right option for you. Always consult with your healthcare provider to determine if this treatment is suitable for you.
